The authentic nadi astrologer
The ancient Nadi palm leaves were originally stored in the palace library of Maharajah Serfoji II of Tanjore, who supported arts and sciences. During British rule, many of these leaves were taken and later passed to Indian families who still preserve and read them today.
These leaves, written by ancient sages (Siddhas), hold life predictions and spiritual guidance. The Nayanar community in Vaitheeswaran Koil discovered and safeguarded the leaves around the 12th century, becoming the main custodians and readers.
Only a few families, like the one of Guruji Ramachandran Swamy, have continued this traditional Nadi astrology for generations. Vaitheeswaran Koil in Tamil Nadu remains the primary center for Nadi astrology, where many still seek the wisdom of the Siddhas through these ancient writings.
THE METHOD OF STUDY
When a person gives their thumb impression, it is sent to the Naadi library. The palm-leaf bundles are arranged according to thumb impressions for easy search.
Each thumb impression may have 5–6 bundles, with 50–100 leaves in each. The reader searches the bundles to find the exact leaf matching the person’s details.
Once found, the General Kaandam (first chapter) is read, which gives an overview of the person’s life. To get good results, the person must also perform the Pariharas (remedies) suggested by the Rishis.
PROCEDURE FOR SELECTION AND READING OF THE SIVA NAADIS
To consult the Naadi, the person books a date through phone or post and confirms it one day before. The real name is not required as it will appear in the prediction itself.
On the appointment day, men give their right thumb impression and women their left. The bundles matching this impression are searched to find the correct leaf.
Each leaf contains family details like parents’ and spouse’s names, which the person confirms. If the leaf isn’t found, it means the time to know their future hasn’t come yet. Once found, the reading is translated and given to the person.
GENERAL KAANDAM PREDICTIONS
The General Kaandam (Chapter 1) gives a full summary of the person’s life — from when the leaf is found till the end of life.
It includes horoscope details, planetary positions, and any Doshas (defects) from past lives.Predictions are given for education, marriage, career, health, wealth, and more — divided into different time periods. Remedies (Shanthi or Deeksha) are suggested if needed.
REMEDIAL MEASURES (PARIHARAS)
Pariharas are special remedies to reduce the bad effects of past deeds or planetary influences.
They help cleanse sins from past births and bring peace, just like an umbrella reduces the impact of rain or sun.
Common remedies include temple visits, Pujas, feeding the poor, planting trees, and doing charity. Sincere performance of these acts brings divine blessings.
TYPES OF PARIHARAS
There are three types of Pariharas suggested by the Naadi:
For past birth sins – to clear bad karma and gain relief.
For planetary effects – to reduce the impact of unfavorable planetary movements.
For evil influences – to protect from jealousy, evil eye, or black magic using mantras or talismans.
Depending on the severity, one may be advised to do Shanthi Kaandam (13) or both Shanthi & Deeksha Kaandam (13 & 14) remedies.
